Twisty Opal Hoops

I don't know what it is about these opals but I'm a little obsessed with their colour - so unique and hard to describe. That mauvey-blue is so yummy. 3.07 ct Aussie boulder opal, set into sterling and fine silver bezels, solded onto hand-made twisted sterling silver hoops, with stud posts and butterfly back closures.
 
Each earring weighs 2.2 g, super duper lightweight! Hoops are 16mm in diameter.
